The Trap Jaw Ant. Known for their impressive size (about 15mm) and their jaws which close at very fast speeds, they use these jaws to both attack prey and escape. They do this by closing their jaws quickly sending them flying backwards. They do poorly in artificial setups and are much better suited to a natural setup. They are easy to feed and will accept various proteins such as crickets they however seem to ignore any sugars that are fed but again it is always good to provide it. They also develop slowly. Best temperatures would be around 24-25 centigrade. Always make sure there is enough humidity.
